Juliet Goodfriend is president of the Bryn Mawr Film Institute and the driving
force behind transformation of the old Bryn Mawr Theater into a vibrant, new venue
offering “the very best” films, film studies courses, and other community programs.
Her passion for linking humanities to the business world is reflected in “Business:
A Liberal Art,” a seminar she teaches at Bryn Mawr College. She has received many
awards for business and community service, including the Greater Philadelphia
Chamber of Commerce Paradigm Award (2000). Ms. Goodfriend is the retired founder
and CEO of Strategic Marketing Corporation, the world’s largest pharmaceutical
